Aliki is a gorgeous beach
with
sand
inside
and out which winds
up
in
a lagoon. It has shallow water and Bourtzi
is right across where anyone can swim to.
Located
at
the
entrance
of
Poros’ waterway, as we come in the from
Hydra
on the flying dolphin.
Aliki is
across
Poros,
next
to
the famous Lemonodasos,
a
large
estate
full
of
citrus
trees
having an abundant water supply and water
mills.
High up, the view from the
area
is
panoramic. It’s a forest containing orange
and lemon trees with taverns scattered all
around. This specific part of Poros inspired
many
prominent
writers.
It has
exquisite
seafood
restaurants
on
the
shore,
and a modern hotel complex, “Aliki
Beach
Hotel” that has a restaurant and cafe
snack
bar by the sea.
The
beach
is equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds, canoes
and
paddle boats, with Bourtzi playing the part
of a natural breakwater.
Access to Aliki is available either by boat
from
Poros or driving from Galata, with your
own vehicle or getting a cab.
